I﻿ wrote this song for a female singer, but had no particular artist in mind at the time. I knew it needed someone with range and emotion, which is when I thought of Steph. She was on board right away when I asked her if she wanted to be the artist for this track, and was a pleasure to work with.

W﻿e collaborated during the 2020 pandemic so we worked remotely and it worked out surprisingly well. Steph had a recording setup at her home and she was incredibly receptive to my guidance and feedback. There was minimal back and forth, as she delivered each vocal take I was looking for. I look forward to collaborating with Steph in the future.

Come Alive

My good friend Vinnie suggested one day that I should create a country rap beat. I said, "sure, why not?" After layering some 808s with a little acoustic guitar and Hammond organ, I figured I might as well write some lyrics and lay down a vocal part on top of it.

I﻿ wove together several stereotypes and tropes from both country and rap genres to form the slightly obnoxious and unabashedly generic lyrics you hear today. I had fun making this song and hope that people don't take it too seriously and enjoy listening.

Started as a joke and ended up being a hit. This country, hip-hop fusion is sure to rock your backyard BBQ.

Country Ballin'

I﻿ was inspired to write this song by my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time. She did not know she had inspired me, but I was inspired nonetheless, and wrote this song about her. It's a simple tune with a repeated verse, but I think it's pretty catchy.

Good Enough

I﻿ wrote this song during the pandemic that we are all too familiar with. It was a serious struggle for many of us and I felt compelled to write this song. I hope it resonates with some people and that even a few can find comfort in listening to it.

This one's about enduring through those tough times.

When Bliss Ü reached out to me, asking if I'd like to sing on a cover of Shotgun he was working on, I immediately said yes. Bliss Ü has been churning out club bangers and feel-good dance tracks from the heart of South Africa for several years and I couldn't pass on the opportunity to collaborate. Shortly after release, this track climbed the charts in South Africa and has been received with great acclaim around the world.

I knew early on in the process of working on this song that Bliss has serious chops and we were on the same wavelength. This is the first of many collaborations to come and I'm excited for what the future will bring.
